ANARAIDOKLISIA CAVE
Anaraidoklisia cave also called Neroidoklisia or Fairy-church cave is located on the top of the rocky mountain opposite Megali Grava cave. The name of the cave refers to a phenomenon which causes air siphons pulling light objects into the cave. That's why the inhabitants occasionally see papers, twine and feathers around the hole. Sometimes the air goes up, depending on the weather.
In the main hall of the cave there is a tree. Below the main hall two rooms are located. The cave has some decorations.
Folklore and oral tradition:
A tale about the cave is that it was a place where boys used to hang out to hide when they did not want to join the army.
Flora & Fauna:
During a visit to the cave in 2019 a few cave crickets were spotted. Find more information about the cave cricket on Corfu here.
