TEMPLONI CAVE

In 2017 information was received about a big cave in Temploni. After 5 attempts by different teams and with the help of Ioannis Loukas, who has been inside the cave earlier, the former entrance of the cave was found in 2018. The cave with beautiful stalactites is closed for ever with garbage and stones. The smell of the garbage is terrible and the vegetation around the hollow is remarkably low. Satellite pictures of 14th September 2017 show that the cave was closed approximately 2 years ago. For speleologists this is the worst nightmare!
